BANGLADESH - 4th Water Supply Project for Dhaka (1991-2002)

Long-term investment plan and feasibility study, strengthening the capacity for drinking water production and distribution in Dhaka, impact study for the Saidabad water treatment plant, checking the design for the Saidabad water treatment plant and supervising the construction works. Supervision of works for lots 1, 3, 5 and 6 and preliminary design for Lot 7 of the project for the Saidabad water treatment plant.

   
   

   
         
   

GUINEA - Project for Strengthening the Drinking Water Supply System for Kindia (2000-2002)

Conducting detailed studies and producing preliminary designs for the construction of a drinking water supply system for the town of Kindia; preparing tender documents; technical assistance to SONEG for bid analysis and construction supervision; organising an information campaign to increase the awareness of the beneficiary populations.

   
   

   
         
   

HONDURAS - Master Plan for a Drinking Water Supply for Tegucigalpa to 2015 (2000)

Study of new resources, assessing their potential, determining structures and the most appropriate planning sequence, drafting feasibility studies; organising service and operation zones for primary systems; studying suitable reforms to strengthen the water company and create the requisite conditions for efficient governance as part of the new guidelines for the Water Law (private sector participation, privatisation).

   
   

   
   

PHILIPPINES - Provincial Cities Water Supply Prioject - PCWSP - Phase 5 (1997-2002)

Programme of final designs and supervision of extension, construction or rehabilitation works to the drinking water supply network for 11 secondary towns, including finding and developing new resources, improving or building treatment plants, building a specialised training centre and supplying its equipment, implementing specific computerised management systems within the governmental body (Local Water Utilities Administration - LWUA) and within the 11 water selling districts (administrative management, general accounting, project and loan monitoring, invoicing and debt recovery), practical training in the management of networks and in the use of the specifically-developed management programmes.

   
   

   
   

RUSSIA - Institutional and Technical Appraisal of 6 municipalities for private sector participation in the field of water (2000)

Determining an institutional, legislative and commercial framework conducive to the development of private initiatives in the water sector.
Appraisal of 6 water utilities in the Federation: for each of these towns, study of the technical water supply and sanitation systems, social-economic conditions, subscribers, work organisation and operating services, legal context, etc.; determining the practical ways of cooperating between the water utilities and private firms willing to participate; proposing a government bill to encourage concession systems.

   
   

   
   

RUSSIA - Feasibility Study of Drinking Water Supply and Waste Water Treatment Installations and Preparing an Immediate Investment Programme for Three Towns (1998-1999)

Appraisal of water supply installations, sanitation systems and waste water treatment plants in Tver (500,000 inhabitants), Volkhov (50,000 inhabitants) and Vologda (300,000 inhabitants) with a view to rehabilitating them and improving their efficiency.

   
   

   
   

CHAD - 8th EDF Village Hydraulics Programme (1999-2003)

Technical assistance for providing support to the Hydraulics Department, increasing the number of water supply points available (1000 new boreholes, 200 rehabilitated boreholes, 30 pumping stations with drinking water supply), appropriation and management of water points by the beneficiaries and setting up a maintenance system.

   
   

   
   

TOGO - Village Hydraulics Programme for the member countries of the "Conseil de l'Entente"; Technical Assistance and Management in Togo (1996-2000)

Design, construction supervision and management of a village hydraulics programme in a maritime region, involving 400 new boreholes, rehabilitating 400 boreholes, installing 800 manual pumps and designing and supervising the works for 10 mini drinking water supply systems.
